WHERE YOU'LL STAY
Find us
Most travel is by car; the area is low-density and not walkable beyond the immediate lakeshore property. Rental cars are recommended for visitors. Local roads are county/state routes (County Road 6/Black Lake Road and NY‑37) and are maintained year-round; winter driving can require snow-prepared vehicles. Public transit is very limited — St. Lawrence County transit or regional shuttle services operate on restricted schedules and may not serve Chapman Point directly. Taxi/rideshare coverage is sparse; pre-arranged local taxi or private shuttle is recommended for arrivals without a car. Boating is a common way to get around on the lake; many guests arrive with or rent boats for on-water travel and sightseeing.
